Once I finished school at 16 I worked in a school with ages from 0-11 and got a level 3 early years educator diploma and in which time I baby sat and looked after some of the kids on weekends. I worked there for 2.5 years.

When caring for children I want to make sure that they feel safe and comfortable and are enjoying them selfs to the fullest while exploring and learning about the world around then and getting the most out of the time I spend with them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for my niece and nephews. My nephews are autistic so I have grown up around them and caring for them when baby sitting or having them for the weekend.
My niece is severely disabled and can not walk, talk or swallow so is tube fed so I have experience with a peg feeding and some with using a harness lift to move her around.

When I used to babysit for 3 siblings at the school I used to work at I got to see them grow up over the 2.5 years I was there and I loved seeing them come into their personalities and seeing them grow up into little people from toddlers! I loved seeing and looking after them outside of the school setting.
