Hi My name is Gabby. I retired from the corporate world early. . I had a friend who asked if I could watch her co-workers newborn baby until she found someone she could trust....6 years later we were best little friends and they added a sister to our fun times. . I learned more than I taught them. They were fabulous!! But unfortunately they moved out of state. I cared for a 14 year old only child who just needed to be driven to & from school & her extra curricular activities Abd dinner needed to be made. ,. I grocery shopped, made meals so when moms got home they could eat as a family. I would never go back ... This is the most rewarding part time job I've ever had. Caring for newborns, teens and in between has been awesome. I have been caring/helping my dad after a surgery but he will be off and running again. After a surgery. so I figure that's my que......

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at the woman and children in crusts center, the homeless shelter family unit abd have been a nanny for 3 families

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love making fun simple age appropriate crafts and foods and having the kids help and do as much as they can. Positive energy. Dinner is so fun for them when they can tell mom or daddy to try this or that...it's so good. I think silly noodle gluing and necklace making are exploring creativity...making get well thank you bday cards, enjoying nature making them aware of the world around them and the needs of others. I spend a lot of my own money as a reward if they have worked for we will do that activity. I love to ride bikes depending on if there is enough for everyone, scavenger hunts....so much to do too much to mention. .

The most important part about being a nanny...

is to let you go off to work and the kids are not throwing tantrums Cuz mommy and daddy are leaving, not worried about when will you come back... they know you will return and I haven't lied to them yet so they trust me. A good day of everyone happy is so much less stressful for moms/dads and kiddos. if they all leave and return happy. I think it's important that you feel like I love and care for your kids as much as you do. How can you work all day if you're worried about your children and are they having fun, learning , etc or crying? My job is to be you away from home..I can never nor do I want to replace you, but in your absence I can make them feel loved & cared about when they get dropped off/picked up or talking while having a snack. I think thats what I can offer...long term stability, responsibility & I've been a working mom so I can relate.. Im so thankful I found my daycare provider so I left happy giggling babies not ones reaching for me screaming.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a couple who had an autistic daughter. Very high functioning and smart as a whip academically but scd struggled doing or knowing what was appropriate in public.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love my kiddos....but my favorite moment was when my little guy said he loved coming over to our fun house and he loved me and Kwis ..my husband and could he have a sleepover if kwis said it was ok. He loved his home but mine was his next happy home. He was 5 when they moved. I love all my kids. They are just so sweet.
