More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of paid childcare experience with children of a wide range of ages. I provided regular paid babysitting for my niece for approximately three years and have also been paid to care for children in my extended family, ranging in age from 3 to 13.
I also have experience working with children in structured activity settings. I coached gymnastics classes for 2- and 3-year-olds, helping young children build coordination, confidence, and comfort following directions in a fun and encouraging environment. Additionally, I have worked with elementary and junior high-aged children in theater, giving me experience engaging with different personalities, age groups, and developmental stages.
Overall, my childcare experience has taught me how to balance being fun and approachable with providing structure, supervision, patience, and consistency.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy keeping kids active, creative, and engaged! I love doing arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, board games, baking, outdoor walks, trips to the park, and age-appropriate outings. With younger children, I especially enjoy music, movement, simple gymnastics-style activities, and sensory play. I’m also happy to follow a child’s interests and come up with activities that fit their personality and age.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating an environment where a child feels safe, cared for, and genuinely comfortable being themselves. I think great childcare is about more than simply supervising, it’s building trust, being patient and dependable, and understanding each child’s individual personality and needs. I also believe in providing a good balance of fun and structure, while respecting the routines, boundaries, and parenting style that each family has established.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with autism through both gymnastics coaching and children’s theater programs. In these settings, I worked with children who had different communication styles, sensory needs, comfort levels, and ways of participating.
I learned the importance of being patient, flexible, and clear with instructions while allowing each child to engage at their own pace. I’m comfortable adapting activities, offering extra encouragement or one-on-one support when needed, and creating an environment where children feel included and successful. While I do not have formal special-needs certification, I’m very comfortable working with neurodivergent children and following any routines, strategies, or accommodations recommended by their parents.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite childcare moments was seeing a child I was working with go from being very shy and hesitant to participate to becoming excited and confident enough to join in on their own. Through my experience in gymnastics and theater, I’ve loved watching kids have those little breakthrough moments where they realize they can do something they were nervous about. Seeing how proud they are of themselves afterward is always incredibly rewarding, and those are the moments that have made working with children so meaningful to me.
