More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I interned at an after-school daycare run by the Knoxville Academy of Martial Arts, working mostly with elementary school children. I also spent many semesters in college working at the Early Learning Centers. There I helped care for children in many classrooms, including the kindergarten, the preschool, and the infant room. I also spent a semester as a teacher's assist, doing small lesson plans, in a Hardin Valley 3rd grade classroom, and spent another semester as a teacher's assistant in a Special Education classroom.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love art so anything creative is fun. I will often draw pictures for children so they can color them in. Building with Legos or blocks is creative and a great way to engage a child's imagination. In my experience with children, I've gotten good at telling stories, both from books and off the top of my head.
Outside, possibilities are limitless. There are lots of games you can play with just a ball. Or even just taking a walk and getting some fresh air can help an overactive child burn off some excess energy.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The health and safety of the child(ren) is the very first priority at all times, of course. Second to that is maintaining a respectful relationship with the family: communicating openly, respecting boundaries, and doing what I can to assist the family in keeping the household running smoothly. Doing this will ensure the child is growing up in the best environmental possible, and that's what's important.
My experience with special needs children...
I have never been directly responsible for the care of a special needs child, but I have worked in a special needs classroom and helped the teachers attend to the children. I bonded quickly with those kids and became the favorite adult to play with during recess. I have always found helping special needs children to be my calling. My little brother was diagnosed with autism at 4 years old, so I am very familiar with the ups and downs.

Babysitter Available in Knoxville, TN: Niyah B.
Hi! My name is Niyah, and I’m a 22-year-old college student with a fun, outgoing, and energetic personality. I genuinely love being around kids, and they always seem to connect with me really easily. I have babysitting experience, mostly with younger children, and I’m very comfortable caring for kids because I’m also around my niece, nephew, and babies in my family often.
I enjoy keeping kids active, engaged, and on a good routine, whether that’s through arts and crafts, playing outside, reading kid-friendly books, or helping keep things organized and on track throughout the day. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I always aim to create a safe, positive, and fun environment for the children I care for.
I also have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, and I’m always open to learning new skills, including CPR certification. I’d love the opportunity to support a family and be someone both parents and children can feel comfortable trusting!!

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Knoxville, TN: Ruth S.
I am 12 years old. I want to make money at a young age because I want to start saving up for my dream car. I also don't know if this is allowed, but if there is ever more than 1 kid then maybe my best friend Kate and I could babysit the kids together. Kate is a very trustworthy and fun person. I would definitely recommend her as a babysitter. If it is possible, then I would like to babysit with Kate.
