More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 15 years of childcare experience caring for premature newborns, infants, school-age children, and children with anxiety or special needs. I have tutored elementary-school children and created educational and engaging activities adapted to each child’s age, personality, and needs. I build trust through patience, empathy, consistency, and positive reinforcement, while encouraging children to express themselves and develop confidence. I am attentive to safety and have successfully recognized signs of an allergic reaction in a child and sought prompt medical attention before the symptoms became life-threatening. I am also experienced with feeding techniques, outdoor activities, routines, and transportation to school, appointments, and activities. My strong organizational and time-management skills help keep daily routines, lessons, and one-on-one activities structured while allowing children to learn, explore, and have fun.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy creating meaningful, age-appropriate activities that make learning fun and help children build confidence and new skills. I love educational games, reading, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, outdoor play, nature walks, and activities that encourage creativity and curiosity. I also enjoy helping children with homework, practicing Spanish and English, and finding activities that match their individual interests and abilities. My goal is to keep children engaged, active, and excited to learn while encouraging them to communicate, express themselves, interact with others, and develop socially. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and free to explore, ask questions, and have fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe in building a deep connection with each child while creating a safe, loving, and stable environment where they feel secure and valued. I enjoy being silly, finding humor in everyday moments, and bringing a positive attitude into their day. I love listening to children, learning their personalities, and finding creative ways to help them express themselves and build confidence. I am patient, nurturing, organized, flexible, and able to adjust calmly when routines change. I also enjoy sharing Spanish and English with children when requested. I understand the responsibility of making daily decisions about a child’s health, safety, comfort, and well-being. I see myself not only as a primary childcare provider, but also as a dependable support person for the household. My goal is to make parents feel confident while giving their children attentive, respectful, and genuinely loving care.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with special needs, anxiety, and developmental or behavioral needs. I believe childcare is a partnership with parents, so I take time to understand each child’s routines, communication style, abilities, and challenges. I work closely with parents to create consistency and provide support.
One meaningful experience was caring for a sweet young girl with **cerebral palsy**. With patience, encouragement, and activities adapted to her abilities, I supported her daily routines and helped her practice movement and coordination. During the time we cared for her, her family noticed improvement in her **motor coordination**. My service dog, Libby, was also part of her experience, providing companionship and affection.
I often feel I am not only a nanny, but also a **source of support for parents**, helping them feel understood and confident. My approach is based on patience, empathy, respect, safety, consistency, and positive reinforcement.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is seeing a child become excited, confident, and proud of something they have accomplished. I enjoy engaging children in meaningful activities such as walking, running, painting, drawing, crafts, storytelling, reading, music, and outdoor play. These activities allow children to explore their imagination, express their feelings and ideas, develop creativity, and build new skills. I especially enjoy creating activities based on each child’s interests and abilities, whether making a craft, playing an educational game, exploring nature, or learning something new. I love seeing a child’s excitement when they accomplish something they thought was difficult. For me, the most rewarding part of being a nanny is watching children grow in confidence while knowing they feel safe, supported, heard, and encouraged. I believe simple everyday moments can become meaningful learning experiences when they are filled with patience, attention, and genuine care.
