The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children feel loved and supported. I believe in building trusting relationships with each child, so they feel comfortable expressing themselves, exploring new activities, and growing with confidence. Being a mom to my 4-year-old has taught me patience, empathy, and the joy of guiding little ones through both big and small milestones. Combined with my professional experience as an after-school instructor for TK–6th graders, I strive to provide a balance of learning, creativity, and fun that helps children thrive every day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
• When a group of kids surprised me by making me a “thank you” card full of drawings after a fun week of activities.
• During a group project, the kids decided I should be the “student” and they all played teacher, it turned into lots of laughter.
• A child once told me I was their “second favorite grown-up,” right after their mom which melted my heart.
• Spending quality time reading stories with my daughter and seeing her eyes light up when she understands a new word is a reminder of why I love nurturing and supporting children in all aspects of their growth.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Berkeley, CA: Leah B.
Hello! My name is Leah and I am a 27-year-old nurse currently working on my doctorate degree so that I can become a pediatric nurse practitioner. My most recent experience was as a school nurse, but I have been working with children since the age of 15 as a camp counselor and babysitter, and was employed as a live-in nanny during the COVID pandemic. I worked as a special education paraprofessional in San Francisco prior to obtaining my Master's in nursing, so I am very adept at promoting childrens' educational growth and using a variety of behavior management skills. I would describe my style of working with children as playful and supportive and enjoy coming up with creative activities that suit a child's interests. If I sound like a good fit for your family please reach out!
