Hello! My name is Gabriella Ruiz! I am sophomore at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette! I’m currently studying biology to become a family medicine doctor! On my free time, I work with kids from ages 5 - 12, every Saturday at a community center where we help them develop their talents and teach them values and biblical teachings. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, growing up in a Christian Hispanic household. My summer jobs would always be taking care of young children and I personally enjoyed it!

I am volunteer at a community project called reaching the generations! Every Saturday I am present in teaching young kids ages 5-12 biblical/life lessons! We also help them develop their talents such as painting, dancing, playing instruments, etc.
My experience has been since I was probably 12. My older sisters use to take me with her to her babysitting job when she took care of an infant and a toddler. When I was 15, I started to babysit two young girls on my own. I would cook for them, help them with their summer homework placed by their parents, and of course, play with them. For one summer, I was hired to care for an infant. I would feed, clean, and play with the baby every single day.

Painting, Drawing, Dancing, Reading, Tutoring in any area, Swimming, Going to the park, and having movie time!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to help the parents in any way they need. Growing up under a single parent, I saw how stressful parenting can be! So it is important for me to assurance and peace to the parent(s).
