More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
…
"I am 24 years old and have been surrounded by children almost my whole life. As the oldest of five, I helped raise my four younger sisters, which gave me hands-on experience with everything from infancy to the teenage years. Beyond my family, I spent my high school years volunteering to read to younger students, fostering a love for early literacy. Caring for and mentoring children is a true passion of mine. Because I view cooking as a 'love language,' I take great pride in preparing full, nutritious meals and can help keep school-aged kids on track with their busy daily schedules

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a strong believer that 'kids should be kids,' so I focus on activities that involve exploring the world firsthand. I’m big on sensory and hands-on play whether that’s taking our shoes off to walk in the grass, getting creative with arts and crafts, or making the perfect batch of slime. I also love getting kids into the kitchen to bake cookies and turning educational lessons into games. By blending learning with play, I find that children stay engaged, curious, and excited to discover new things
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is the genuine love and warmth I bring into a family’s home. While my primary focus is keeping the children safe, happy, and engaged, I also want parents to feel truly supported and appreciated. I believe in a 'safety-first' approach to every activity, ensuring that while we are exploring and having fun, the children are always in a secure and focused environment.
My experience with special needs children...
While my direct professional experience with special needs is growing, the time I have spent in these settings has been incredibly wholesome and rewarding. I believe in treating every child with the same level of dignity and care, focusing on who they are as individuals rather than their disabilities. I am deeply respectful of the extra attention and specific routines they may require. I understand that 'bad days' happen, and I’ve found that staying calm, being patient, and using respectful redirection is the most effective way to provide support during those moments.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Coming from a large family, my favorite moments have been the ones where I got to be a coach and a cheerleader. I find so much joy in seeing a child’s hard work pay off, like when my sisters bring home an assignment they are proud of. I also value the learning process; I’m the type of caregiver who encourages kids to keep trying when a task gets hard. Watching that 'lightbulb moment' when they succeed after failing a few times is incredibly rewarding, and it’s an energy I plan to bring to every family I work with.
