The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, caring, and supportive environment where children feel happy and secure. It’s about being responsible, attentive, and patient while helping them learn, play, and grow. Building trust with both the children and their families is key, so they know they can rely on me for consistent care and guidance.

My experience with special needs children...

I also have experience caring for children with special needs. I’ve been friends with and cared for special needs kids who were all younger than me throughout my elementary and middle school years, making sure they were safe, included, and having fun. I still care for some of them occasionally in high school, though less consistently due to school and other responsibilities. With clear directions, I can provide attentive and responsible care. I treat them with the same patience, respect, and energy I bring to all children and enjoy helping them feel happy, engaged, and part of the group.

My favorite nanny moments are seeing children I care for learn, grow, or just genuinely enjoy themselves. Whether it’s finishing a craft, discovering a new skill, or laughing during playtime, those moments remind me why I love working with kids.
