Hi there! My name is Gianna McIntosh but you can call me Gia! Currently, I am an 18 year old senior at Flowing Wells High School. I plan on going to college to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and then continue my journey to eventually become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner!

I am the eldest daughter of 4 siblings! I love to bake and clean. I am very big on organization. I absolutely LOVE taking care of children. I like to paint and dance (I have been dancing for 14 years). I also love to read and I'm fluent in ASL.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started helping babysit at 8 or 9! I had a nanny and she couldn’t help all the kids at once so she trusted me to help with the babies. I’ve also babysat relatives children and my own siblings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities I enjoy doing with children are dancing, baking, storytelling, arts and crafts, teaching sign language, coloring, learning how to count/write, and singing.

Outdoor activities I enjoy doing with children are picking flowers, learning about different insects, playing tag and hide n seek, coloring with chalk, going on walks, and swimming.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me about being a nanny is being trustworthy. I’ve seen many cases where children have passed away or have gotten hurt due to negligence and untrustworthiness. I do not stand for it. I will be there for both the parents and the children and I will make sure the parents come home to their children who were able to be taken care of without any worries.

My experience with special needs children...

My brother is autistic and I have worked with him for 12 years! My sister was born with hydrocephalus and a grade three brain bleed and I worked with her when it came to sitting up or starting to walk. She is also very emotional and sensitive which helps me learn how to be patient and understanding!
