Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked for the YMCA for 2 years leading a group of children ages 6-12 during summer camp as well as managing an afterschool program in a middle school during the school year. After that I became a full time nanny and assisted with homeschooling for 3 siblings, 7 year old twins and a 3 year old boy. I was with them 8-10 hours per day and assisted in all aspects of their everyday life which also included assisting their parents with cleaning/cooking. Now, I am an occasional babysitter for a 16 month old boy if his nanny is not available during the week and I also sometimes come in during the weekend for date night.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking the kids outside to either a park, the beach or a kid friendly museum/event. As a reader, I encourage the kids to pick up reading and do activities based on the books such as a fun pop quiz or crafts. I am BIG on arts and crafts. If it is allowed, I also like to watch classic appropriate movies with them and play age appropriate video games. I enjoy helping children grow and learn new skills that can help them now or in the future.
