A little bit about me

My name is Gisel but everyone I know calls me Gigi. I am 19 years old and turn 20 in April. I have professional experience for 1 year working at an after school program working with children k-6. I am also the oldest of 4 my siblings right now are 11 and 9 years old and the youngest is 10 momths old. On my free time I will take them on a walk/bile ride for a treat downtown, go to the park, or simply get a meal and catch a movie at home. Ive always been a joyful person and being surrounded by kids has helped grow love and compassion for all. I currently work at a local Kitchen in Napa Small World Restarant. Its great but I would like something a little more lively full time. I would love to mee you guys as I believe connections are better made in person:)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a counselor at a camp once. I loved it. Planning activities and coordinating different events in the day just to see them happy and really enjoy their childhood was a really great experience. It was even greater because my siblings were eventually signed up as well so I got to see them too.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park, riding bikes, painiting, coloring, singing/dancing. I will participate in any activity and also try to help your child explore and find new interests. I am a person of creativity

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part to me would be to make sure the children feel safe and comfortable and having fun with any activity planned. Giving each child their divided attention and having a connection to where respect goes both ways. I believe there is a way to compromise with children to get them to do something when asked such aa transitioning to a new activity rather than punishing and using harsh tones. I will never use a harsh tone with any child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When children tell me they love me simply because I will play, joke, and give each one my attention. One specific moment at camp I found sweet was at freeplay when the kids wanted to stay around me to come up with a game for us to play when i expected for them to run free.
