Always pay attention and have patience. The children I took care of were still developing and were still learning how to speak. So for them they can’t just tell you what they want or what they need. You have to make sure you are being patient, every kid has their bad days and that’s 100% okay.

At the daycare there was a 2 year old boy that when I first got to the daycare he did not say any words only animal sounds. After talking with him more on a day to day basis by just pointing something out like a toy or book and just making sure I would let him see it, touch it like if it’s like a light switch or a decorative butterfly hanging on the wall and just say the word a couple of times to him and have him try. After just a week I already started noticing a difference. He started to make less noises and he began saying words I practiced with him and he was starting to form two-three word sentences. Which was a big improvement for him.
