A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Grace. I am 20 years old and a student at Frostburg State University. I have an Associates Degree in Environmental Science and Biology, and I'm currently studying to get a Bachelors in Wildlife and Fisheries.
I will be moving to Frostburg this July. I will be starting school at the end of August. As of right now, I am not aware of what my availability will be once school starts.
I am a very outdoorsy person, I hike, kayak, canoe and forage quite frequently. I have a German Shepherd puppy who is my best hiking buddy, and a lovely little kitten. I worked with children in my hometown as a Summer Camp Counselor and as a Park Naturalist. At both jobs, I created the itinerary for the day, going from spending time playing in the pool, or catching fish in the stream or making flower bouquets! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at a summer camp with an organization called Lasos. I was the assistant teacher for the kindergarten to 1st grader age group. I assisted in making lesson plans to expand their English and math skills, along with creating games to play and teaching everyday skills.
I also was a summer camp counselor at Maryland Golf and Country Club this past summer. I worked with the age range of 4-10! I assisted with designing lesson plans that were nature related.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

are whatever the children want to do. I believe that I should be doing what the child wants to do, not what I want to do. So if they'd like to draw or play outside or go for a walk, then I'm perfectly fine with doing so!
