More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have past experience taking care of children of various ages, including babysitting for family, friends, and neighbors. I’ve helped with everything from preparing meals and snacks to organizing fun activities, assisting with homework, and following bedtime routines. I’ve also cared for younger children, which included changing diapers, bottle feeding, and keeping them entertained in a safe environment. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to be patient, responsible, and attentive to each child’s unique needs. I have experience working with toddlers with special needs,. I’ve assisted with daily routines such as feeding, diaper changes, and sensory play, always making sure to follow any specific care plans or therapy recommendations provided by parents or specialists. I’ve learned how to communicate in ways that meet each child’s unique needs—whether through gestures, visuals, or simple language—and I always strive to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing a variety of activities with children that are both fun and educational. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, which help spark creativity, and reading books together to encourage imagination and early literacy skills. I also love playing games, doing puzzles, and engaging in outdoor play like going for walks, playing at the park, or organizing simple sports and games. Baking simple treats, doing science experiments, or setting up pretend play scenarios are also activities I enjoy, as they keep kids engaged while helping them learn and explore the world around them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is creating a safe, nurturing, and trusting environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and loved. Building a strong bond with the children and the family is essential, as it helps foster open communication and mutual respect. I believe in being a positive role model, encouraging learning and growth through play, structure, and patience. Knowing that I can contribute to a child’s development and well-being, while also giving parents peace of mind, is what makes this role truly meaningful to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with special needs children, which has helped me develop a deep sense of compassion, adaptability, and understanding. I’ve supported children with a range of needs, including developmental delays, sensory sensitivities, and behavioral challenges. My responsibilities have included assisting with daily routines, offering one-on-one attention, and using creative approaches to communication and play. I’ve learned how important it is to be patient, consistent, and to celebrate small milestones. This experience has not only strengthened my caregiving skills but has also made me more aware of the importance of inclusion, respect, and individualized support.
