The most important part about being a nanny...

Not a nanny memory, one time I dated someone with two kids boy 4 & girl 5. One evening we had a bath time and make-up stories before bed. The next morning, I surprised them both with a living room breakfast picnic and they played dress up. It was clear at bathtime, bedtime, and breakfast time that these were not regular routines for them. It both broke my heart and filled it to give them that experience. I would take them swimming, play with bubbles and chalk. It was then I knew the true blessing of children. They wanted to help clean up and do dishes with me because this was an activity done together. I believe children thrive with quality time and full attention.
