More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a diverse background in childcare and education, working with children from preschool to teens. Since I was 14, I have volunteered as a Bible camp counselor, specializing in the pre-K group, where I planned and led engaging, age-appropriate activities.

I also have professional experience teaching special education preschool, focusing on individualized support and inclusive practices. In my role as a librarian, I designed and led educational programs for children and teens ages 3–15, incorporating storytelling, crafts, and interactive learning.

My passion for guiding and nurturing children through creative, structured, and supportive environments has shaped my approach to childcare. I am committed to helping every child feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and grow.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating fun, engaging, and educational activities for children of all ages. For younger kids (ages 3–6), I’d plan sensory play, arts and crafts, storytime, and simple science experiments to boost creativity and coordination. For school-aged kids (7–12), I’d focus on structured activities like homework help, themed crafts, group games, and nature walks that incorporate learning.

With teens (13–15), I’d encourage independence through journaling, book discussions, meal prep, and collaborative projects. My goal is to keep each day dynamic and enjoyable while supporting every child’s growth and individuality.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine, lasting bond with the children and families I work with. My mom was a nanny for many years, and I saw firsthand how the kids she cared for became like family to her. That sense of connection and commitment is something I carry with me in my own work.

I believe being a nanny is about more than just supervising or helping with tasks; it’s about being a reliable, supportive presence in a child’s life. I strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where kids feel valued, encouraged, and understood. I take pride in watching them grow, celebrating their milestones, and being someone they can depend on.

Just like my mom, I find joy in forming meaningful relationships that go beyond a typical caregiving role. The kids I care for truly become a part of my life, and I am grateful for every moment spent helping them learn, grow, and thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience working with children with special needs, particularly in educational and caregiving settings. I have taught special education preschool, where I focused on individualized support, sensory-friendly activities, and fostering social and emotional skills. My approach emphasizes patience, positive reinforcement, and creating a structured yet flexible environment to accommodate diverse learning needs.

In my role as a librarian, I designed inclusive programs tailored for children with varying abilities, ensuring accessibility and engagement through interactive storytelling, crafts, and hands-on activities. I am committed to providing compassionate, adaptive care that supports each child’s unique strengths and challenges.

I believe in fostering a safe, encouraging space where every child feels valued and empowered to thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite experiences as a nanny was working with a family who had two boys. I had the privilege of being with them for over two years, and it was truly rewarding to watch them grow and develop during that time. Seeing their personalities evolve, celebrating their achievements, and being part of their everyday lives made the experience incredibly special.

I’ve also had the joy of babysitting and helping homeschool a family with three kids. I’ve known them since their youngest was born, and she’s now 7! Being a consistent presence in their lives and supporting their learning journey has been such a fulfilling experience. Watching them grow from toddlers to curious, independent kids is something I truly cherish.

These experiences have shaped my passion for childcare, reminding me how meaningful it is to build lasting relationships with the families I support.
