Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to volunteer at Seth Woodard elementary in high school working in the classroom 1 on 1. I would babysit my old church’s kids a lot because I was really the only one willing to.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For spring and summer usually I’ll bring crafts or something to color definitely varies on age group. Fall and winter I usually will try an keep them inside more, snowmen, hot coco, maybe a leaf pile but again varies on child, day, allergies, etc.

Being safe but also making sure the kid had a fun time while I was there and that the parents are happy with my influence on their child

My experience with special needs children...

My mom worked with special needs when I was in high school so I’m no stranger. They’re still people, you just have to talk to them more slow and be patient.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A lot of times the kids I babysit will draw things for me, this one little girl in particular drew me a turkey for thanksgiving with the words “thank you for not making fun of me while reading, I love you” and then proceeded to walk up to my mom and tell her “I just love your grace” that was a pretty precise moment.
