Being able to establish a good relationship with the parents as well as the children. Having good communication with the adults is the most important part for me as it allows us all to work together to do what’s best for the kids and give them consistency in their schedule and know what’s expected by myself when the parents are away.

My favorite nanny moment isn’t one particular moment but just every time I picked up the youngest of my three nanny kids from daycare. It was the best start to the afternoon with the kids walking up to her classroom during nap time and her teacher bringing out the little 2 year old exhaustedly rubbing her eyes and seeing that sweet excited smile form when she’d look up at see that I was there.
