In middle school and high school I was a counselor at Girl Scout camp. I ran kids cheer camp with my cheerleading team. I have been a summer nanny for the past 4 summers. I worked as group leader at YMCA after-school program my sophomore year of college. I was in charge of homework help and entertaining 25 5th graders. I also worked at Puzzles Academy daycare center over the summer. I was mainly with toddlers and loved it! As a summer nanny I would safely get the kids to their summer activities, cook healthy balanced meals, and find activities they could do to enjoy their summer! I love working with children and seeing the world through their eyes!

I love doing crafts, painting, drawing and coloring is a lot of fun! I love to play just dance on the wii. I love going on walks or playing kickball out side!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny for me is being a consistent person in the child’s day to day life. I want to be as helpful to the family as I can and love just knowing that I have made a difference in a child’s life and helped a family get through a busy day a little bit easier!
My experience with special needs children...
I briefly cared for a 3 year old with autism. She was non-verbal and I really had to learn how to read her cues, so that I could provide the best care for her! I also have cared for a 23 year old special needs girl. She is low functioning, but so much fun to be around. We love to bake sweet treats and watch movies and take the dogs for a walk!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment happened over the summer. The 5 year old girl usually only watched her big brother during swim practice and would not want to participate in her group. I was working on encouraging her to find the confidence in herself to get in the pool and do it! One day she just looked at me and said she needed her goggles and she was going to do it. She struggled at first but it was awesome to see her improve every week!
