Hi, my name is Grace. I am 22 years old and have just graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree with a focus on Child Studies from the University of Guelph. I have worked with children for 10 years in a variety of settings and am truly passionate about it. In most of my work positions, I take on a Reggio-Emilia approach. I believe in learning through play. Play allows children to test theories, advocate for themselves, problem solve, develop language skills, emotional regulation and so much more. I enjoy creating art activities that are child-led process art that we can extend over multiple days. Finally, I prioritize pedagogical documentation so that together we can track your child's progress and hear directly from them what they have learned. I have worked as both a babysitter and a nanny since I was 12 years old for a variety of families and family structures. I have also worked as a daycare teacher with children varying from 18 months to 6 years old. Finally during my schooling I had practicum placements in a Reggio- Emilia preschool classroom, a Montessori toddler classroom and a public school kindergarten classroom.

I love doing process art projects that can be extended over multiple days. Creating and setting up dramatic play centers. Playing outside in a variety of ways, but specifically nature-based scavenger hunts.
