I have some families I worked for where I would watch 2 kids at a time each time. I have almost 15 younger cousins so I’m constantly with them and thinking of new ways to entertain them with fun activities when I watch them. I’ve been babysitting for many years now.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to play sports with them as well as help them with school and learning activities. Anything outside I love doing. Some of my kids favorite activities are homemade obstacle courses and forts (with permission and cleanup of course). I also love doing crafts and bringing different games.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are getting cared for in the same way their parents would while the parents do what they need to do is so important. I never want to have parents feel guilty for lacking quality time when having to provide for their family or do things for themselves to! I think it’s important the kids are cared for and loved by a community around them when the parents need some time to do what they need.

I have worked many camps with special needs kids and helping them with sports and life skill.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One day I brought a national geographic kit and the kids got to carve away at the rock kit and pick out gems. They were learning and also playing. It was so fun seeing them excited. I took them to ride bikes to ice cream after which was fun!
