Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a consistent babysitter for 2 families for around 3 years, and still am for one of the families! I also worked as an RBT last summer where I worked with kids ages infant-6 with developmental disabilities to help them develop important skills and learn how to become the best versions of themselves!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do art projects, baking, science projects, playing outside, going on walks, reading, doing school work/learning new age-appropriate skills, and I love to be imaginative with kids as I feel working a child's imagination is incredibly important!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Building relationships with kiddos that foster comfort and kindness as well as creating a non-judgement zone and honest communication! Kiddos have a lot to say and they are so brilliant and I want to allow any child I am watching to be able to express themselves in all the ways they feel comfortable and most supported!
My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a child with down syndrome for 2 years occasionally, and I also worked for 5 months last summer with kids with Autism (all different levels of severity)!
The most important part about being a nanny...
When a kiddo of mine didnt want to take a nap, we decided to have a dance party first where they got to pick all the songs and dance moves and then we would take a nap after! I have never laughed so hard in my life or had so much fun and the sweet girl I was watching still talks about it to this day and asks for dance parties whenever we are together!
