I really enjoy doing creative and engaging activities with children that help them learn and have fun at the same time. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, reading storybooks together, playing educational games, doing simple science experiments, and spending time outdoors—like going for walks or playing at the park. I also love baking simple treats with kids and involving them in age-appropriate tasks to help build confidence and independence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and loving relationship with both the child and their family. It’s about creating a safe, nurturing space where the child feels seen, heard, and supported in their growth. Being consistent, patient, and genuinely caring makes all the difference—not just in the child’s day-to-day happiness, but in their overall development and confidence.

I also have experience working with children who have special needs, and I approach this with patience, empathy, and a deep respect for each child’s unique personality and abilities. I understand the importance of structure, clear communication, and adapting activities to suit their individual needs. Whether it’s helping with sensory-friendly activities, using visual aids, or simply offering a calm, supportive presence, I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little girl I cared for surprised me by “reading” her favorite picture book to me from memory—complete with all the silly voices I usually used! It was such a sweet reminder of how much kids absorb and how meaningful our time together really is. Moments like that, where I can see a child growing, learning, and feeling safe enough to just be themselves, are what make this work so special to me.
