The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important parts of being a nanny are stability, flexibility, patience, and connection. We all know children need stability and routine in their day-to-day lives, but unfortunately, life does not always grant that luxury. That is why it is super important that as a nanny you are flexible and be able to stay cool, collected, and be able to quickly problem solve and adapt if things don't go to plan, because let's face it.. things don't always go accordingly as much as we would wish they did. We, nannies, must possess patience to overcome the obstacles that caring for our young throws at us. Lastly, but most importantly, connection is the most important part of being a nanny. It is always my number one goal as a nanny to build a connection with not only the children but the family unit as a whole when providing my care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments as a nanny are the ones where I can see children being children. Whether it be overcoming tantrums to helping out with homework, making endless inside jokes, learning new things together, seeing them light up when they try something scary for the first time and realizing it isn't so bad, seeing them laugh themselves dizzy, even cleaning up a mean scrapped knee, it all is equally as enjoyable to me because I love what I do.
