I have a 3 years old brother that is on the spectrum I have been helping take care of him since I was about 12 years old as needed as my dad (reserves now) and his wife (military civilian) were/are busy at times I also have a 12 year old brother that I also watch from time to time as well as my aunts kids (ages 2-11) text for more examples :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I can and will do whatever games they want to play if it’s in the backyard or in the house without making a mess and if there’s a little bit of a mess I can and will clean it up!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The kids I love love LOVE kids of all ages! They make my day watching them grow into young adults and being part of it and hopefully helping making life long memories!
My experience with special needs children...
My youngest brother has autism (3) I also have a cousin my age with autism as well as my best friend who is on the spectrum, when I was younger I used to play and hangout with the special needs kids so they didn’t feel left out! I have LOTS of patience!
