Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered to work at a preschool every other day for about a month until school got out. I enjoyed getting to work in a school setting and with the children there.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am very open minded when it comes to doing actives with kids. Whatever they are wanting it do I am more than happy to do it. Whether that playing with toys/games, doing a puzzle, having a dance party, playing at the park or splash pad, going for a walk, coloring in a coloring book — I am more than willing to do anything with them as long as it abides by the rules set by their parents and/or guardians.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part about being a nanny is making sure your child (or children) are well cared for. This includes the mental, emotional, and physical well being of the child. Making sure your child is safe and happy is my highest priority. I also believe in being able to have fun. After all, they are only a child once so make the most of it by having fun while staying safe at the same time.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a younger sister with Down syndrome who I absolutely adore. She is my favorite person in the whole world. I have grown a love for special needs kids through her. I have also worked with a child who had high-functioning Autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are too many memories to possibly pick of favorite. However, one of my favorite things is seeing any kid having a good time and hearing them giggle like crazy. It make my heart happy to see them happy.
