More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a daycare assistant at a local in-home family group daycare (Farmington, NY). This opportunity provided me with the ability to work with larger groups of children of varying ages (3 mo. up to school age). I assisted in running curriculum and crafts, cooking, cleaning, parent pick-up/drop-offs, child entertainment, outdoor play, and much more!
Before and after my employment at this daycare I worked in private residences as a nanny, with children aged (0 mo. up to 3 years). I truly enjoy working one on one (or 2) with children, as it allows me a better opportunity to get to know them and their families. This way I am able to determine how to cater my care to what the family themselves prefer.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a big outdoor enthusiast! When caring for children that also enjoy outdoor time; I enjoy walks, water play, nature crafts, and teaching basic information about nature. I am even happy to play out in the rain, mud or snow!

For indoor activities I am comfortable adapting to implement activities that the child (or children) are already comfortable with. My favorite activities are crafts, puzzles, reading, and going along with child-led creative play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that the most important part about being a nanny is adapting to each family and child's needs and preferences.

I take pride in being a flexible caregiver, to ensure the family I work for is getting what they deserve. I enjoy growing and learning alongside the children and parents!

My experience with special needs children...

I have provided care for premature infants, with responsibilities including physical therapy support and medication administration.

I have also worked with children with ADHD and ASD. I am able to adapt to any child's specific needs and preferences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was the day that I caught a child's first steps on camera! I got to enjoy that precious moment alongside the family that welcomed me into their life, home and family.
