More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 15 years experience with childcare/babysitting. I also have three nieces that I help my siblings out with all the time. I am very comfortable with infants, toddlers, and school aged children. I am efficient, patient, respectful, trustworthy, and kind. I also have 6+ years working as an STNA in different nursing homes taking care of elderly residents and am a natural-born caregiver. I have been certified in CPR, first aid, along with food safety certification from working in a kitchen at Heinens for 7 years. I have taken care of people with disabilities as well. I was a nanny for the past two years to 2 school aged children responsible for the after school routine of snacks, homework, dinner, and getting things organized and ready for the next day. I have lots of references as well. I love dogs too so pets in the home does not bother me. I am a very loving person that likes to make a positive impact on other peoples lives

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me is that the children and the parents feel safe and comfortable with me. I truly feel such a passion and fulfillment to be a really good care taker. I am able to adapt to whatever the specific needs of the family are and my biggest priorities are safety, respect, and trust. I want the children to be excited when they see me and the parents to feel a sense of relief and trust that their children are in good hands with me. I am big on communication and following whatever directions/instructions/rules there are as well. I’m a firm believer in kids needing consistency and structure along with the safe space of knowing I am going to be able to take care of them to the best of my abilities when their parents are not home.

My experience with special needs children...

I do have some experience caring for someone with special needs and have a reference to go along with that. I am able to be patient and calm to adapt to whatever their specific needs may be.
