My experience with special needs children...
My Experience with Special Needs Children
I had the opportunity to work for two years in a special education classroom with students ages 11–15. During that time, I supported children with a variety of needs, including developmental delays, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges. I assisted with daily routines, social skill building, and academic support, while also encouraging independence and celebrating each child’s unique strengths.
This experience taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment. I truly enjoyed building connections with each child and discovered a deep passion for working with children of all abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when I helped a little one who was shy and nervous about being away from their parents. Over time, through fun activities, patience, and lots of encouragement, I watched them grow more confident and excited for our time together. The day they ran up to me with a big hug and said, “I’m so happy you’re here!” reminded me why I love this work so much. Moments like these — when children feel safe, happy, and cared for — are what make being a nanny so rewarding for me.
