Hello I'm Hannah, a mom to an amazing little girl. Being a parent has only strengthened my love for working with children. I enjoy helping kids learn, grow, explore, and have fun in a safe and caring environment.
I've worked in behavioral health, including at a foster care agency that supported at risk youth and their families. That experience taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of being a positive, dependable adult in a child's life. While I'm grateful for that experience, I realized my passion is working with children.
I'm reliable, organized, easygoing, and understand the trust it takes to leave your child with someone else. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where your child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn and grow.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

It started when I was a very young age of 12 watching my families kids (so cousins)

Then over the years I've worked in the mental health field with adults and children and seeing and helping them with what their mental health needs.
Then as of recent I worked for a foster care agency that also had group homes. I spent a lot of time with mixed aged children caring and transporting them to where they needed to go for appointments and understanding them and building relationships with them. Then as time went on I started to work more with the group home kids. They were at risk youth. 5 days a week typically 7am-5/6pm again I had a mix of kids but typically tween to late teens and built as much repor with the kids and get to know them. Understand their needs and routines and what they wanted out of life.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities: crafts, reading, baking, create fun activities that fit their ages.

Outdoor: walking, playing at the park, crafts outside, water activities.

I just always want to try to have the kids use their imaginations and I want to get to understand what they love and what they need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is understanding the children you are around and the family you're helping! Understanding their needs and wants and enjoying this position and loving kids!

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for several special needs kids in my previous employer. What I have learned from that is patiences and understanding along with some kids needing routine to help them feel comfortable.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when I was transporting one of my older kids to a appointment and they felt comfortable enough to open up to me and sing to me. As I was driving there was bumps on the road and as the kid was singing you can hear the bumps and vibrations through his voice and we both started to laugh and giggle about it.
Another time was when I had two of my older kids and they both told me that they appreciate that I was there to help them and guide them and not bouncing them around. They appreciated that stability of me always being there and showing up to help them. That I took to hear and always will. I'll never forget those kids.

One of my favorite moments with my own child is when she looks at me through out the day and says mom how much do you love me? I say I love you more than anything because I gave life to you. She always replies back no I think I love you more cause you gave me life and you're the best mommy ever!
