Hi! I'm Hannah, a 26-year-old living in Gilroy, CA, with my husband, John. I have a degree in Elementary Educational Studies and a passion for helping children learn, grow, and feel loved. I nannied from ages 17–22 and cared for children of all ages. Since then, I've continued babysitting for many of those same families when needed, and I'm excited to find a new part-time nanny position. I currently work full-time, so I'm looking for a family needing care on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. In addition to several years of full-time nannying, I have a degree in Elementary Educational Studies, which gave me a strong foundation in child development, learning, and age-appropriate care. I have experience caring for children of various ages, helping with homework, preparing meals, planning educational and creative activities, school pickups, bedtime routines, and creating a safe, structured environment. I also continue to provide childcare for families I've worked with in the past on an as-needed basis. My goal is always to make children feel safe, valued, and cared for while creating a fun and engaging environment where they can learn, grow, and simply enjoy being kids.

I love planning activities that are both fun and engaging! Some of my favorites include reading books, arts and crafts, baking simple treats, playing outside, going to parks, building forts, imaginative play, board games, puzzles, science experiments, and age-appropriate learning activities. I also enjoy helping with homework, encouraging creativity, and finding opportunities to make everyday moments exciting. Most importantly, I love creating an environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and free to laugh, explore, and just be kids.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel seen, valued, and supported. I believe every child deserves someone who is patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in their growth. It's about more than supervising it's about building meaningful relationships, encouraging confidence and curiosity, and partnering with parents to help children thrive while making childhood fun, memorable, and full of joy.

My experience with special needs children...

As part of earning my degree in Elementary Educational Studies, I completed two college courses focused on supporting children with special needs. Through these courses, I learned about inclusive care, child development, individualized learning strategies, communication techniques, and creating environments where every child feels supported and successful. While my hands-on experience has been more limited than my coursework, I approach every child with patience, compassion, flexibility, and a willingness to learn their unique needs so I can provide the best care and support possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny memories was caring for two siblings, ages 6 and 12. I helped with their after-school routines, homework, and creating a space where they felt supported and encouraged each day. One of the most rewarding parts was watching them grow in their confidence and education, celebrating as they completed grade levels and reached new milestones. Being a small part of such an important season in their lives and getting to celebrate their accomplishments alongside them is something I'll always cherish. Moments like those remind me why I love working with children.
