I have four years of experience working at Camp Echoing Hills, a camp serving children and adults with disabilities. In my role, I was responsible for providing hands-on care and support, helping with daily routines, activities, safety, and individual needs. This experience taught me how important patience, flexibility, communication, and attention to detail are when caring for others. My current work as a Job Coach has also strengthened my ability to support individuals with different needs and abilities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending time outdoors and finding activities that let children explore and have fun. Growing up on a farm, I especially enjoy animals, nature, outdoor games, and hands-on activities. I also enjoy arts and crafts, reading, baking, playing games, and finding age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity and learning. I like getting to know each child's interests and building activities around what they enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is making sure a child feels safe, cared for, respected, and supported. I believe a nanny should be someone parents can trust and someone children feel comfortable being themselves around. Building that trust while providing dependable care, encouragement, and positive experiences is what makes being a nanny so rewarding to me.

I have extensive experience caring for children and adults with disabilities through my four years at Camp Echoing Hills. I was involved in providing their daily care and supporting their individual needs throughout their time at camp. This included helping with routines, activities, personal care, safety, and creating an environment where everyone could participate and feel included. My experience has taught me to be patient, observant, adaptable, and respectful of each person's individual needs and abilities

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are when a child gains confidence in themselves or accomplishes something they were initially unsure about. I love being able to encourage children, celebrate their successes, and watch their personalities and independence grow. Some of the most meaningful moments are often the simple ones—laughing together, trying something new, or seeing a child get excited about something they love.
