I have four siblings, so I’ve grown up in a busy family environment and have always enjoyed being around children. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing games, reading, going outside, going to the park, and finding creative ways to keep kids active and engaged. I also enjoy helping with homework and letting children choose activities based on their interests.

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the child feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I think it’s important to build trust with both the child and their family while also making sure the time we spend together is fun and meaningful.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs and enjoy creating a fun, supportive environment where every child feels comfortable and included. I also participate in activities with Down Syndrome of Louisville, which has given me additional experience interacting with and supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was seeing a child I was caring for become so comfortable with me that they started looking forward to the time we spent together. We would play, do little activities, and talk about their day, and eventually they would get so excited when I came over. It was really special knowing that I had become someone they trusted and enjoyed being around.
