I am currently a gymnastics coach and work with children daily. I also have babysat many of my coworkers kiddos at previous jobs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love the outdoors and getting kids out of the house and away from all this technology. I love fishing, hikes, sports, and more. I also LOVE music. Music is one of my favorite hobbies myself so of course i love sharing that love with everyone!! I love cooking and baking and teaching kids how to cook and eat good!
The most important part about being a nanny...
what is most important to me about being a nanny is making sure that the kids can be themselves and trust me. Trust is such a huge thing with kids and is really the building block of all of the relationships they build with people.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had some experience with special needs children. I worked at Baptist Health in the behavioral health unit and dealt with special needs adults all the time. Although they aren't children they often function the same way in some aspects. My boyfriend's little brother is special needs and we get along so well. After learning all his stems and things he handles differently than most kids, i've gained his trust. I also deal with all different levels of special needs and learning disabilities in gymnastics so i would say i'm pretty comfy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment with my kiddos in gymnastics is when they learn something new/ discover a new skill or get a new accomplishment. I love helping these kids grow and become the best and most confident versions of themselves.
