Before marriage I was a schoolteacher, and even thought I am now "retired," I am still passionate about children and learning. I love reading and telling stories, singing songs, and exploring the world around me!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a teaching license and was a third grade inclusion teacher for 1 year. I have two additional years of student teaching experience working with first and fifth graders. I had various duties including managing the classroom, nurturing all of my students according to their individual needs, supervising various things such as bus duty and field trips, and organizing data and schedules.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being active and creative! I enjoy anything from taking nature walks and riding bikes to fingerpainting or dancing along to a fun song. I also enjoy coloring, imaginative play, reading picture or story books, doing puzzles and board games, and many other things!

My experience with special needs children...

I taught some students during my time teaching who qualified as having special needs, but it is not my area of study or expertise!
