It is important for me as a nanny to provide an added source of support for children to help them recognize the importance of building meaningful relationships. It is also important to level with children and be silly, sensitive, and unconditionally welcoming no matter their behavioral or emotional difficulties!

Recently, I had to leave the family I was nannying for since the children were enrolling in school. With this family, I was able to teach the children how to emotionally regulate themselves when they are upset, frustrated, or angry. It was humbling to see them utilizing some interventions in their own moments. We shared many precious memories together!
