Hi, I’m Honna! I’ve always had the biggest soft spot for kids and dream of being a mama myself one day. Caring for little ones and watching their little personalities unfold is one of my favourite things in the world. I currently nanny for a wonderful family, and I absolutely love creating a calm, loving space where the kids feel safe, seen, and free to just be themselves. My fiancé, Porter, and I share life with our little pug, Posie, and we dream of having a family of our own one day. I have extensive experience caring for children of all ages, from tiny infants to energetic school-aged kids. I’ve cared for two newborns, three babies, and children ages [phone number hidden], and 7. Each age has taught me something new about patience, growth, and the importance of a loving, consistent presence. I’ve supported a 4-week-old baby through their first milestones, created fun developmental play for toddlers, and helped preschoolers build confidence and independence. I love engaging with kids in creative and active ways! Some of my favorite activities include: Going to the park to play games and enjoy the outdoors. Doing arts and crafts to spark creativity and fine motor skills. Engaging in sensory play to explore different textures and materials. When it’s TV time, I love turning it into active play with dancing, games, or yoga to keep them moving. Encouraging independent play to foster confidence and imagination. Reading books to inspire a love of learning. Baking together to have fun and teach valuable skills in the kitchen.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny, I believe the most important thing is creating a safe and secure environment where your child feels emotionally supported and valued. Emotional security is essential for children to thrive, and I focus on building trust and a strong connection with them. When a child is upset or dysregulated, I take a calm and compassionate approach to help them feel understood and supported. I soothe them by listening to their needs and wants, explaining situations in a way they can understand, and guiding them toward calmness and reassurance.

I also believe in making every day enjoyable and enriching through fun, hands-on activities like sensory play, physical stimulation, and active games. These not only keep children engaged but also support their development and creativity. My goal is to provide peace of mind for parents while fostering joy, growth, and confidence in your little ones.

My experience with special needs children...

I had the privilege of being a peer tutor in junior high, working with special needs students. This experience had a profound impact on me, teaching me the value of patience, empathy, and adaptability. The opportunity to care for and assist these incredible children humbled me and gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of meeting each child’s unique needs. It was a truly rewarding experience that has shaped the way I approach caregiving and learning.
