I have 7 years of childcare/teaching experience and during that time and even now I strongly believe that my laughter, enthusiasm, and reliability are highly valuable to a family in need of a nanny/teacher. I've served a wide variety of families, students/children, and I know that being a nanny is simply not just watching children. I grew up in a creative, educationally-based (both of my parents worked within the school system, and my father was even a principal of a Highschool! He's retired now), and social family. Many of the activities that I enjoy doing with children have an academic component such as using chalk outside to practice addition/subtraction and turning it into a fun race by using a timer, etc. I enjoy singing (especially singing!), dancing, (and any and all kinesthetic movements to do with children)---This also includes painting, pottery/sculpting, crafts, and planning indoor and outdoor scavenger hunts and a wide variety of exercise activities for outdoors. (Playing in the sprinkler, going to the park, going to the library, reading to them, building legos/block activities, puzzles, creating books for their stuffed animals to read/creating stories/plays by using the writing process, drawing etc.)
