Ive been a volunteer in my churches Sunday school program for 7 years. I’ve participated in several oversees missions schools on missions trips. I also have assisted as a teacher helper in a local Christian school. I taught a volunteer based art class at another local private elementary school. And every year I am a camp counselor and Vacation Bible School teacher in my community.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy indoor board games that encourage children to think and learn, as well as any outdoor activities. Being outside is so much fun. I also love to work on art project with children. Creativity is instrumental in child development.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had experience with autistic children in several of my volunteer Sunday school classes, as well as down syndrome. I love the genuine spirit of special needs children. Though it can be challenging at times, they are so much fun to be around.
