A little bit about me

I'm a 29-year-old male, born and raised in the Bay Area, California. Growing up, I spent a lot of time at Merry Moppet Preschool where my mom worked. During middle and high school, I volunteered in various classrooms, assisting teachers with kids from Pre-K & the Older Fours to Younger Threes. While I’ve babysat for around four years, I’m looking to transition into professional nannying.

I’m also a creative person who enjoys playing instruments like ukulele, guitar, and drums. While I can’t read music, I love introducing kids to the fun of playing. I’m a bit of a nerd, into things like Star Wars, Warhammer 40k, and tabletop games, which I believe can inspire creativity in kids.

On the personal side, I’ve always cared for animals, including my neighbor’s dog and my own cat, Shilo. I’m looking for a full-time, long-term nanny position in the Bay Area and am excited about the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’d love to do a variety of fun activities with the kids! We could have music jam sessions where I teach them simple rhythms on the ukulele, guitar, or drums, making our own little band. We could also dive into creative storytelling and make up fun stories or act out adventures based on their favorite themes like space or superheroes. I enjoy DIY crafts too, such as building forts, creating spaceships, or making costumes inspired by Star Wars.

If they’re into games, I’d introduce them to tabletop games or simple board games to teach strategy and teamwork. Outdoors, we could have adventures with nature walks or scavenger hunts. For learning, we could try easy science experiments or fun, simple coding games. And with my experience in pet care, I could teach them about animals by involving them in pet care activities or visiting parks. Lastly, we could enjoy imaginative play, creating new worlds or reenacting epic battles!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a babysitter or nanny is building trust and connection. It's about creating a safe, nurturing environment where the child feels comfortable and understood, and the parents feel confident in the care being provided. Supporting the child’s growth—whether through learning, creativity, or just being there for them emotionally—while maintaining open communication with the family is key.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the opportunity to work with children of varying needs and abilities in different settings, adapting to each child's unique requirements. This has allowed me to develop patience, flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills to ensure all children feel supported and included. I'm comfortable creating a nurturing environment that encourages growth and independence, regardless of any specific challenges a child may face.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when I helped a child overcome a challenge they had been struggling with for a while. Seeing their confidence grow and watching that moment of realization and pride in themselves was incredibly rewarding. It's those little breakthroughs that remind me why I enjoy working with kids, helping them build confidence and develop new skills in a fun, supportive way.
