Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I hosted a volunteer program for dad's & babies. A lot of first time dad's are scared to admit they're scared!!! I also have been in charge of the infant/children rooms at my old church. On top of that I'm the oldest of 4, the youngest I have a 13yr age gap with. I know a thing or two, cause I've seen a thing or two😏
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing outside on nice days with kids and also setting up fun activities for their creative side. I enjoy involving kids in household tasks (always making it a fun experience of course) it helps them feel a since of responsibility in helping manage their shared or personal spaces. I also love to involve kids in preparing their meals (always with help) so they can feel a sense of accomplishment while also learning independence and life skills!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny, I'd say is having the patience, kindness and understanding of a saint. as much as I love kids they're also very smart in trying to extend their bedtimes 🫠
My experience with special needs children...
I have only ever dealt with behavioral issues associated with autism / ODD / ADD. I'd say I'm quite inexperienced elsewhere.
The most important part about being a nanny...
when the family I currently nanny for started to get comfortable with having me around. and the two year old coming out of their shell and showing me their little personality. it's really rewarding for a kid to feel safe with you.
