A little bit about me

I recently moved to the area from Monterey, Ca. I worked in the Pacific Grove Unified School District. I started as a paraprofessional in a Special needs classroom and later took a position in the childcare/ preschool where I primarily worked with 18 month to 3 year old children. I have 3 children of my own and was very involved as a volunteer in their classrooms over the years.
My first job, at 11, was babysitting. I have been a childcare provider for many years. I have worked in office and retail management, but my passion is working with children.
I have been working on earning a BA in Early Childhood Education. I have 60 hours of ECE credits. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I hold an assistant teacher certificate through NY State.
My hobbies are mostly related to the visual arts and handworking. I enjoy knitting, sewing, painting and other creative ventures.
I have most often been described as patient, gentle and kind. I am also observant and dedicated.
