Weather permitting I love doing outdoor activities with kids, Tag, hide & seek, water play, playground. When it comes to indoor activities i love doing act that incorporates learning and fun.

Making sure that I have a strong relationship not only with the child but the parents is of the utmost importance to me. Ensuring that there is clear, honest communication my nanny families is also something I find to be very important!
My experience with special needs children...
as a daycare teacher I had two students (different age groups) who needed a little extra help. One little boy I had from two up until he was 5. He had a learning disability as well as special dietary restrictions that I followed to a T. My second student was a little girl that had autism & was non-verbal. Together with her guardian we came up with a plan to make sure all her needs were met.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories was when my G4 was establishing her relationship & connection with everyone in her life. She "discovered" siblings also had the same mom & dad, that her mom had a mom, who was her grandma. Finally, she asked me what I was to her so I told her I was her nanny which to her obviously meant that I was her grandma too. I was grandma Heavenly for a solid month.
