Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I often care for our family friend’s kids, so I know what interests kids these days and most of the kids I’ve babysat before have autism so I happen to know a thing or two about how to play with them and keep them situated. No matter their needs.

I love reading to them, playing make believe or with their toys, watching their favorite shows or movies and even baking together!

My experience with special needs children...
I’ve never professionally nanny-ed before but I’ve babysat a family friend’s child that had autism and I didn’t think he had a friend that showed interest in what he liked till I came along, at least that’s what his mom said. He was a sweet boy that was little rough at times with his younger siblings because nobody really listened to him, but he warmed up to me almost immediately because I started asking him questions about the stuff that interested him and sang his favorite planet songs, and baked the food he liked. All I really saw him as was a kid who needed a friend, not a kid who has autism so it never really mattered to me.
