A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Heidi! I’ve worked in a daycare/preschool setting for 11 years. This year I transitioned to being a teacher aide in an elementary school. Most of my experience is with infants and toddlers, I enjoy working with all ages though! I am trained in safe sleep, communicable disease, abuse/neglect, medication administration, first aid and CPR (for all ages). I have cared for children with acid reflux, hip dysplasia (including after surgery care), deafness (I am working to learn ASL), and blood disorders. I am familiar with the use of helmets and leg braces. I do my best to keep routines but I know kids need to be kids and will allow them to set the pace as needed. I am adaptable and love being able to work with the parents of the kids in my care to create the best possible environment for each individual child. As well as building strong relationships with the families as a whole.
