Hi!

My name’s Holly - I’m a Neonatal ICU nurse with 15+ years of childcare and other youth+family services experience within allied healthcare, youth development and education.

I like families to (and most do!)
think of me as the 'bonus adult' - the extra heart and hands to love, support and care for you, your kids & household like they were my own.

My education has focused upon Maternal and Child Health through degrees in Global Health, Human Development, and my recent Masters in Nursing.

I love working with families and kids of all ages; my rates are flexible dependent on need (cooking, overnight, etc).

As I am a full time nurse, with a varying day/night schedule, my schedule is limited to short term or occasional care needs such as:

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have provided part and full time nanny care, for children 0-6, for 5+ years.

I have provided reoccurring, and as-needed child care for more than 15 years for children 0-14.

I interned at the UCI NICU for 10 weeks, providing care to critically ill newborns.

I managed a therapy clinic where I interacted and advocated for families and children with special health or education needs.

I served as Chair and Advisor of Interact District 5170 for 3 years. Interact is the youth version of Rotary International; District 5170 is local to the SF-Bay Area and the largest Interact District in the world. I oversaw and mentored a council of 25+ high schoolers who organize 6,000+ students to raise $100,000 of funds and serve 100,000 hours annually.

I've worked for corporations providing childcare for children 0-3 at conferences and work retreats.

I have supported siblings, cousins and friends as a tutor through a variety of subjects through my time in higher education.

I am a big believer in 'exploring' - no matter the age or ability!

Whether getting out to nature or the park, field trips, hands-on projects at home (cooking, science, ever heard of the cleaning game...?), games or other developmentally appropriate learning - I am game for it all.

I am happy to support however is needed for your family, as I respect everyone is different! I'm happy to help with cleaning, cooking, medical care, getting homework done, planning or taking that trip, etc! Let's talk about it.

My goal in child care is to ensure a safe, nurturing & supportive environment while having fun.

I truly enjoy connecting with children, and becoming a part of a family's life. Every child is unique, as well as every family dynamic; I aim to be a seamless extension, as possible.

I firmly believe in honest, open, empathic communication to foster respect, love & awareness of oneself and others.

I am an unwavering advocate and ally of BIPOC and LGBTIQIA+ communities, and align best with families who also share those ideals.

My experience with special needs children...

I have significant experience with special needs care, both as a care-giver, family member of an individual with ASD, and as a pediatric manager of a clinic primarily serving special needs population through Education, Occupational & Speech Therapy services.

I am a Masters prepared Nurse, and have a BS in Human Development focusing on Children.

I interned at UCI NICU for 10 weeks providing care to preterm and other special needs infants (GI care, medication and feeding administration, etc).
