I worked two summer seasons at Nature Center Cape May's Summer Camp. I absolutely loved my experience! I instilled the love of nature, learning, creativity, and crafting into the hearts of many campers. I specialized in connecting nature with crafts to help the campers understand the nature around them. I loved reading to the campers. This was the best job I ever had!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy making crafts. Expect a fridge with many of your children's art displayed! Another activity I enjoy is going into nature. With my past experience, I went on a nature trail or down to the harbor with the campers to explain the world around us.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Since I am new to being a Nanny, I will just answer from my past job experiences. I was both a camp counselor and a lifeguard. While at both jobs the most important aspect was ensuring the children were safe. I viewed the campers safety with the utmost importance.
My experience with special needs children...
I have little experience with special needs children. At my previous job I would be responsible in managing behavior in my age group. I was a camp counselor for ages 5-6 and 6-7, occasionally with ages 7-10.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I am new to becoming a Nanny, but my favorite moment working with children was at summer camp. It was the Fourth of July and we gave my age group water sprayers. The campers were so excited and it made me happy to see them so joyous. I was bit of a target during the water sprayer game, which led to a lot of laughs. There were countless funny and memorable moments at camp.
