A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Hope! I have nine years of childcare experience for children ages 5 months to 14 years.

Over the years, I have gained invaluable experience as a nanny and babysitter, managing various responsibilities, including:
- Providing a nurturing environment
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
- Assisting with meals and bedtime routine
- Maintaining a safe and clean living space
- Driving children to and from school, sports, and activities
- Errands and grocery shopping
- Caring for animals including cats, dogs, and even chickens!

Beyond my childcare experience, I enjoy engaging in creative activities with children, such as crafts, arts, baking, and swimming. I am patient, kind, and always develop unique relationships with the kids I care for.

I'm seeking a full-time position with a family in Los Angeles where I can bring my experience, creativity, and love of children to help support a happy and thriving household.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I gained valuable experience working with children as a lifeguard throughout high school and as a swim instructor at Goldfish Swim School. These roles taught me responsibility, patience, and how to ensure a safe and supportive environment for kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy activities like going to the pool, baking, doing arts and crafts, reading, and taking walks. They’re fun and engaging ways to connect with kids while encouraging creativity and exploration.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is supporting a child’s emotional growth and overall well-being. Children thrive when they feel seen, heard, and valued, so it’s essential to create a nurturing environment where they feel safe to express themselves. Being a positive and supportive adult in a child’s life can have a profound and lasting impact, shaping their confidence, emotional intelligence, and resilience. In addition to fostering open communication, encouraging their interests, and offering steady guidance, I prioritize creating a secure and loving environment where safety comes first. By aligning with the family’s values and respecting their parenting style, I strive to build trust and consistency, which helps children feel supported and understood. Ultimately, my goal is to empower children to develop a strong sense of self and the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments as a nanny are those when a bond of trust and love truly forms between me and the kids. The 8-month-old I currently care for recently fell asleep in my arms—a rare and unexpected moment that brought me to tears because it made me realize how much he must trust and feel safe with me. The 2-year-old I nanny often surprises me with his sweetness, like when he says, 'I'm proud of you, Hope,' after I do something kind for him, like sharing my food or tying his shoes. It’s these small, tender moments that make nannying such a rewarding and meaningful job.
