One of the kids I nannied had autism. When I first started working with him, it was hard to get him to speak a lot, but I continued to work with him (so did his school). The more I worked with him, the better his vocabulary/communication got. On my 17th birthday, he sung happy birthday to me and it made my heart soo happy!
